Toggle Iron Age

This Iron Age toggle is a type of fastener or clasp used primarily for securing clothing or other items during the Iron Age, roughly from 1200 BCE to 600 CE. Toggles functioned similarly to modern buttons or clasps, holding garments together by passing the rod through a loop or slit.

Toggles were typically made from materials like bone, horn, wood, or metal, and they often featured simple designs. However, some toggles were more elaborately decorated, indicating their use in more ceremonial or high-status garments.
