Salesmen Miniture Sad Iron
In the late 19th and early 20th century these small little gems are what Salesmen would carry.
Armed with their wares travelling from town to town, hoping to sell irons, stoves, and other household goods.
This small sad iron was a sample, a portable version of the real thing. Each miniature sad iron carried more than its weight in steel. It carried the hopes of the salesman and the promise of a modernized home.
Today these tiny relics are cherished by collectors and historians alike. Each one a reminder of a time when commerce relied on trust, face-to-face interaction, and the creativity of salesmanship.
