Iron Age Fighting Axe Head
This small but powerful iron axe head comes from the Early Iron Age, roughly between 400 and 100 BC. Its compact, slightly hourglass shape suggests it was made for close combat rather than for everyday work.
Made from iron, a material that was both technologically advanced and highly valued during that period, It represents the evolving metallurgy and warfare practices of Iron Age societies.
Despite its size, an axe like this would have been an important weapon, easy to carry, quick to swing and effective at short range.
