Enamel Sign 'Sparklets Aerators Limited'
This beautiful enamel sign dates between 1910 and 1920 and would have hung outside depots, stores, or distributors that stocked Sparklets products.
It’s a relic of a time when carbonated drinks were a luxury, and Sparklets made it possible for everyone to enjoy fizzy water at home.
In the late 19th century, Sparklets Aerators Limited revolutionized the way people created sparkling water. Their soda syphon, paired with small CO2 chargers known as Sparklets bulbs made it easy to carbonate water from the comfort of your home.
This sign pointed customers to their nearest Sparklets depot, places where they could buy or refill soda syphons and chargers."
The 1920s to 1940s marked the golden age for Sparklets. Soda syphons became synonymous with entertaining and modern living.
In a time before mass-produced soft drinks, Sparklets gave families the ability to make their own fizzy beverages. Whether it was water, lemon soda, or cocktails, Sparklets certainly brought the bubbles."
