British Railways Lamp

This is a type of warning lamp used by British Railways in the victorian era, produced by the Lamp Manufacturing & Railway Supplies Ltd under the Adlake brand.

These lamps were oil burning, which means they used a fuel such as kerosene to produce light. This was common before the widespread adoption of electric lights in railway operations. The oil burner provided a reliable source of light that was relatively easy to maintain and could function in areas without electrical infrastructure.
